THE PROJECT

Talk With Me's goal is to show a representation of what a suicidal mindset could look like. Everyone has a unique and individual struggle, but I'd like to think that a daily ordeal can make us feel similarly. These videos aim to illustrate these feelings.

The point of the series is communication. Through isolation, perspectives become twisted and problems become agitated. Coming to someone you trust with a problem like this can have a neutralizing power to it, and give you the ability to examine what's going on with a fresh perspective.

If someone comes to you, suicidal or not, don't make assumptions. Don't try to 'fix'. Just listen, and make sure they know you're grateful they trusted you with this information.

ABOUT ME

My name's Peter, I'm a filmmaker that recently graduated from Emerson College, and this is my thesis that I've been working on and living with the past couple years. This series came together through the fantastic support of my friends and family who donated their money, time, and abilities to make this happen.

Based on personal experience, one-on-one interviews, and volunteer work at a suicide helpline, my hope is that this project inspires teenagers (and anyone, really) to come forward with any of the myriad of demons that we can face day to day.
